I studied and practiced cinematography in the London Film School. Since then, I have been involved as a DoP in numerous professional productions around the world for more than a decade.

 

As an image creator I have a passion for using the image to tell the story, by imbuing aesthetics with meaning to communicate the message non-verbally.

I have been the recipient of the LFS PANALUX award for Cinematography in 2014 and a graduate of the ASC Masterclass workshop in 2016.

 

My first feature film as a Director of Photography, "Utopia", was longlisted for the 88th Academy awards, as the 2016 Afghanistan foreign film submission.

I have been nominated twice for the BSC Short film cinematography award in 2017 and 2021.

​

In 2020 I shot part of the historical epic series "The Empire" for Disney+ Hotstar and in 2022 an episode for the "Bite Size Horror" Anthology on Hulu.

In 2023 I completed the Tv Series "Sharar" for MBC Studios and got accepted into the BAFTA Connect membership.

​

In 2024 I was nominated for a BAFTA award and shortlisted for an OSCAR for my work as a cinematographer and co-producer on the short film "Yellow".
